the days are long  but the years are short

Let me help.

Motherhood is the perfect mix of chaos and love

My whole process is based on a simple philosophy: no worries.  Over the years I have refined my service to not only provide you with step by step guidance, but also be able to anticipate problems that may arise and offer solutions.

Feeling rundown from pregnancy or from living on little sleep after baby is here?  I have my hair and makeup ladies at the ready to pamper you and have you looking your best.

Do you hate the thought of buying something to wear "just once" for your maternity portraits, or feel like nothing fits right after having baby?  I have a client closet full of options, and will pull the perfect pieces to use for your session, because after our conversations I'll know your vibe and the style that you're looking for.  I also have some dresses for big sisters, and will help you with what dad or big brother should wear.

Think, "oh I look horrible pregnant"?  First of all, you don't, I promise!   Secondly, I have been doing this a LONG time and am experienced in posing women with bellies of all shapes and sizes.  Tell me your insecurities, and I'll show you how I can make them disappear in a photograph.

Don't know where you want to have your session?  If you don't prefer a studio session, I have tried and true locations of every kind (beach, field, urban, forest) to suggest!

Not sure what you want?  I sit with you at the ordering session and walk you through options, we can even see a mockup of the art on your walls!  No figuring it out on your own.

Don't like feeling rushed?  When you are on my schedule, I am blocking the day just for you, mama.  No time slot to fit into and pushing  you out of the door.

I'm Tamara, your photographer and lifelong dreamer.

my absolute favorite quote:

To me that is a word filled with laughter, joy, hope, fun, learning, growing, tears, and so much love.  Such a range of emotions, and in the beginning they feel like they hit all together at times!  Preparing your home, making sure every tiny onesie is folded cutely, every blanket is soft, and the diapers are stashed.  Picking a name, a coming home outfit; you want everything to be perfect.  Holding your baby for the first time is priceless...ahhh, there is no greater feeling!

Capturing the loving gaze of a mama at her baby, the way dad is nervous to hold it, the way your baby insists on spreading their foot out no matter how many times I try to pose it, lol.  These things are why I love what I do.  I have been in the photography world a long time, and have been specializing in motherhood for the past 13 years.

As a mother to three grown boys, I know that time goes quickly.  My once tiny babies are now taller than me!  Photographs of them over the years are my most prized possessions.  After giving birth to a baby girl in October of 2019, I am even more passionate about capturing those fleeting moments, as I know from experience that she will be grown in a blink.

Growing up, I had an obsession with looking at old photographs and viewing an era gone by.  Just in my lifetime, I have witnessed the change from film to digital; and from delivering information via floppy disk, to 3 1/2 inch disk, to CD, to DVD, to USB, and now instant download.  When I'm gone, my grandchildren will not know my cloud password (if it even still exists), but they will be able to enjoy all the memories that I have printed.  For this reason, my passion is prints, and my main service to my clients is giving them portraits that they can hold, hang up, display, and pass down for ages.

Every photographer has a style, and if you don't agree with mine that's alright too.  Everyone should have portraits they love and will treasure forever.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.  I hope to have a session with you soon!

Love and blessings,
