How do I book?
You may fill out the contact form here on the website, email at email@example.com, call or text at 757.775.9843, or message me through social media (links are at the top of this page). Session fee and a signed photography agreement are required at time of booking to be placed on the schedule.
How do I pay?
You will receive an invoice in your email where you may easily and securely pay with credit or debit card. If you would like to pay cash, please contact the photographer to make arrangements. Payment plans are available on package purchases.
Where are you located?
The studio is located at 5731 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Suite 4A, in Yorktown, VA.
How do I order my portraits?
Once your edited gallery is ready, you will receive a link to view your proofs. From there, you may order one of our packages or individual prints and digital files. If you would like to order one of our framed prints, we will be able to show you a mock up of exactly how your finished product will look so that you may choose a frame that fits your home perfectly.
Do you offer digital files?
Short answer, yes. I am passionate about providing printed images for my clients to enjoy, however I understand the excitement of sharing with friends and family. For this reason, I have designed my packages to include both prints and social media sized digital image files for sharing. Alternatively, you may purchase full-sized digital files with a print release if you wish.
Session Specific FAQs:
When should I have my session?
It is recommended to have your maternity session around the 30 week mark. At this point your belly is full and round, but hasn't (in most cases) dropped yet.
What should I wear?
I have a client closet full of a variety of gowns, in all colors and sizes that are available to you included with your session fee. You are also welcome to bring your own. Before the session, we will talk about a location and outfit choices that will look best.
Can I include my spouse/siblings/pets?
Yes! Anyone who wants to celebrate with you is welcome. On your questionnaire, just let me know so we can plan accordingly. Pets can join in outdoor or home sessions, but are not allowed in the studio for allergy reasons.
When should I schedule my session?
Due to the nature of due dates, we can only place a certain number on our calendar each month. It is recommended to book your newborn session well in advance to ensure a spot. At booking, you will be "scheduled" for your due date. When your little one arrives, simply let me know and we'll schedule your session sometime within the first two weeks.
My baby is already born, can I still book a session?
Absolutely! We will get you on the schedule as soon as we can. Babies are best posed in the squishy style before 2 weeks, but older babies can still get beautiful photos in a more relaxed style.
What should I bring?
The studio is stocked with everything needed for your portrait session. (If doing our in-home option, it will be brought to you.) Before your session you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire so that we can plan colors and props. If you have a specific item, like an heirloom that you would like included, it will ask about those as well. Together we'll plan the perfect first portrait session for your growing family.
Can I include myself/spouse/siblings/pets?
I love sweet parent and family portraits! Due to insurance reasons and also a peaceful environment for the baby to stay asleep, we do require that tiny siblings are brought to the studio only for the duration of their turn, either at the beginning or end of the session. Newborn sessions are lengthy and it's hard for toddlers to endure. Pets are not allowed in the studio for allergy reasons, but may absolutely be incorporated into your in-home lifestyle sessions.
